the practice of {becoming less}

Jesus is coming.

We find ourselves between the Advents :: his first humble entrance and his second triumphant return.  Yet in this place, He still comes.

Daily Christ makes his way, hoping to make more known to us who He is, why He came, what He is about doing — in us, through us, around us.  He comes.

But life is much like the crowded inn.  My life. Displaced by to-do lists and time constraints, work and worry, details and decisions…does my Savior come find room?

In order for Him to become greater, I must become less. It’s the only way to welcome His entrance — more of Him, less of me.

Today, I commit to being smaller in order for Him to shine brighter.

Jesus has come.
