I can honestly say I’m anticipating the holiday season. Really.
For our family, it’s one full of simple celebrations. Such things as Advent envelopes to mark the passing days, our easy-peasy pie crust ‘cookies‘ (for when Mom doesn’t feel like baking!), or making simple gifts for teachers.
I’m still thinking about 2012 plans and have started jotting a few notes via List PlanIT. It’s shaping up to be a wonderful time of the year. 🙂
One thing I appreciate most is the focus on giving. Our family does this in different ways, seeking to share generously of ourselves and what we have.
This year, I’m also incredibly thrilled to participate with a group of bloggers to give YOU, our readers, an opportunity to win some fabulous gifts. It’s an opportunity for us to be generous, to give back in a small way, from our own blessings.
I’m actually quite excited for you!
There’s been some ‘oohing’ and ‘aahing’ behind the scenes, and now this HUGE giveaway is ready to roll. The biggest gift you could win? — $250 in cash.
Yes!, two readers will each win $250, and there are still many other prizes (check them all out below).
Over 30 of us are hosting this giveaway and the only requirement is that you leave a comment on this particular post — tell us, what would YOU do with $250 cash right now?
That’s it. Dream a little, tell us what you’d do…and you’re entered.
Of course, there are more ways to earn extra entries so be sure to take a peek! Giveaway ends Black Friday at midnight and winners will be notified over the weekend.
Be generous yourself and share this giveaway with others via Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Email, Pony Express….well, you get the idea! Buttons are at the end of the post, after the giveaway entry form.
I would buy my kids some Christmas presents and I would also buy a few gifts for toys for tots.
I would save it toward a weekend getaway with hubs next year – we both turn 30 and could use a little spa time 😉
I would most likely buy some groceries & pay part of our electric. My Fiance and I both have lost our jobs and are having a hard time keeping our heads above water. It would give us both a few weeks peace of mind.
Easy. I would love the dickens out off my BBBS little sister & her family.
If I had $250 now, I would start sponsoring a child from Compassion, I would select some things that my daughjter has chosen from the Samaritan’s Purse Gift Catalog, and I would probably buy some wonderfully-scented candles for our home.
We would use the money to bless another family in need, maybe a fancy dinner at our house or a Christmas tree and a dinner. Teaching my kids to give is at the top of the list.
I would buy my kids christmas and share the rest with a family to help buy their kids christmas.
Hmm… I would probably use it to visit my brother and sister-in-law over the holidays. 🙂
Thanks so much for sharing this giveaway! We would definitely invite others over for a wonderful Christmas dinner!
I would use it to either get “Ever Grateful” place settings from Dayspring or a metallic picture print of one of my Uncles photos!
I would use it to buy a heater for our unheated basement. We’re outgrowing our little house, and it would be a huge help to have usable space in the basement this winter. (Especially since that’s where the school room and playroom are.)
My DD wants to sponsor a child on the an angel tree, plus, it would give her a good Christmas. God has provided our needs, but times are tough right now for us. Thanks for this chance.
I would use it to help my husband go see his parents. He hasn’t see them in 4 years due to our finances and the fact that they live over 900 miles away.
I would put most of the money up and use it for the lean times of year and then I would give some to a good charity.
I would use it to buy Christmas presents for my family
Some would go towards bills and some would be used to help someone out that needs it.
I’ve been dreaming of getting my 5-year-old the new Leapad2 and Tag reading system bundle. $250 would cover that and cases, plus a few books and apps.
Our family would sponsor a local family in need to provide food and other needed items. We would also buy gifts for Toy drive. Teaching our child the joy of giving.
Our church hosts a giving tree for families within our church body that wouldn’t otherwise have much of a Christmas. Although we can’t do much on our limited budget, I’d love the opportunity to bless one of these familes and $250 would go such a long way in doing that.
I would use it for Christmas gifts for my kids. My husband’s job has taken a big hit all if a sudden and they’ve told him there was no work for him the last two days. Christmas is beginning to look pretty sparse. 🙁
I would use $250 for travelling expenses as my husband is going to be stationed in Germany next spring. It will be a big transition for us and our three month old son!
If I won $250, I’d put it towards our Emergency Fund. 🙂
How exciting! Thanks for the opportunity. I’d probably add to my Bosch replacement fund. My machine is dying and I’m saving to buy a new one.
I would buy something for my husband. We don’t ever buy each other gifts and he really deserves something for all the hard work he puts in for our family 🙂
I would buy Christmas gifts for everyone
I would probably use it to take my 4 kids to a indoor water park…cabin fever months are coming, and Chicago weather doesn’t lend itself for bathing suits and water outdoors. 😀 Please pick me!
I would use this to supplement Christmas gifts for our family. I have been trying to only use cash back rewards and swagbucks, jingit dollars I have earned! this would help add to the limited budget!
Considering hubby and I are so broke our Christmas present to ourselves this year is folding chairs because we don’t have any chairs at all… I’d probably use it to pay bills!
Hmmmm….we’d use some for World Vision gifts and then I’d love to use a little for a few pieces of clothes for me…I never seem to get anything new. I wear the same jeans every day…it’s time for a new pair of pants!
My car is being fixed & will cost me $2000. I could really use the money!
Spend some, give some this Christmas. There are wonderful charities near me – WARM and My Very Own Blanket.
My husband set up a wonderful Christmas budget this year, so we’d put it towards attending our son’s graduation from basic training!
Really, we are just about $250 over our budget this month after some unexpected doctor trips and car expenses!
I would get some much needed car repairs. In the last 8 weeks I’ve had to make 3 different trips for repairs and now the brakes are metal to metal.
I would add it to our mission funds.
I would buy a new arrangement for our living room wall…probably a grouping of frames to arrange some of our favorite photos in. I’ve been wanting to do it for a long time, but hate to spend money on stuff like that.
I buy a Christmas present for my husband. We haven’t bought each other Christmas presents for the past few years due to our tight budget.
I would spend $250 by giving some to my church to help those less fortuante, by my mom and mother in law a Christmas present and help friends that need it. It wouldn’t go far but I want to help others as much as I can.
As a first-time home buyer, I would use that money to add to my home improvement fund. Nothing glamorous – but it would be great to get a sump pump to keep water out of the garage!
I would love to buy my husband something special as well as giving the rest to the two families in our church who are adopting little ones this month!
i pray to win this so i can give 7 children a christmas i cant give r=them do to no funs cause of cancer problens i wish iwant i pray to win!!!!!!!!
Good stuff, please allow me to add…If you are in the market for a piece
of jewelry you can realize significant savings by waiting for the right time of year to buy.
Christmas and Valentine’s day are especially busy times of the year for jewelers, and they may be less likely to negotiate during these times of year.
Individuals who’re fed from waiting for agreement of monetary loans applied can discover fast remedy for his or her issues with one of these lending products. And just like the misconception many individuals have about short term installment loan options, consumers don’t realize they
actually do have options to get out of the cash advance cycle.
It can be a paper-free loan deal therefore, you will take no very
long time in receiving it whatsoever. Because there
are not any credit checks involved process, these financing options can be
a unique selection for people with poor credit
record.
What started as an effort to find a cheap alternative to
the expensive jewelry that I’ve lost, has now become a passion
with me. Lastly, stainless steel jewelry is very durable especially when
compared with gold and silver. Due to this, one of the best Valentine’s Day gifts that you can give to your love one is stainless steel jewelry.
If you have a First Communion in the near future then your
life is likely a flurry of preparations, and we feel for you.
Consider the benefit of buying all your merchandise in one place.
If you are someone who is looking forward to gift your loved ones then you can get Stainless Steel NFL Jewelry.
Masculine and virile, stainless steel jewelry (also known as inox jewelry) are now getting into the mainstream of men’s fashion in many parts of the world.
And in the worst case, it can ruin your look on the occasion completely.
Due to this, one of the best Valentine’s Day giffts thwt you can give to your love one is stainless steel jewelry.
So far I’ve been saying which you should fake, act and pretend how well you
happen to be doing. In this moment, it’s best which
you don’t annoy he or she by apologizing profusely.
You must show your boyfriend or girlfriend boyfriend positive steps toward change within your life, in
case you do not see him making changes yet
in his life.
I would turn my daughter Christmas into a full Christmas tree with lots of gifts just to put a big wonderful smile on her LIL face
Taake a little time to rsearch and you will find that the professionals work onn their

Cash and vouchers are preferable (where foodd is available for purchase) in the marketplace, but
people lack the resources to buy it.

You need to take part in a contest for one of the highest quality sites on the net.
I am going to highly recommend this blog!
I’ve been surfing online greater than 3 hours lately,
but I never found any attention-grabbing article like yours.
It’s lovely worth sufficient for me. In my opinion,
if all web owners and bloggers made just right content material as you
did, the web will probably be much more useful than ever before.
