To say my boys (ages 6 and almost 3) were thrilled in receiving and doing our BabbaCo box activities is an understatement! From the moment our shipment came to the door, there was excitement in the air. Packages are a big deal at our house.

What is a BabbaBox?
Geared towards kids ages 3-6, BabbaBox is a monthly, themed activity box delivered to your home {or the home of another if you gift one} — with ALL materials necessary to complete each activity!
In each box includes FOUR parts:
Creating :: 2-3 fully-supplied activities to complete with children
Exploration :: each box is theme-based around a topic for parents and kiddos to learn together
Storytelling :: an age-appropriate book in every box
Connection :: each delivery offers prepaid downloads for more interactive learning

Our POLAR EXPLORERS BabbaBox
When our overflowing box of goodies on a Polar Explorers theme arrived, my 6-year old hovered close by as I opened and went through the materials. Can I say just how organized everything was? All crafts separated into bags, with all appropriate materials already cut out and ready-to-g0 {yes, this is probably my favorite aspect — organization.}
Immediately upon seeing the contents, my boy shouted “wow, a new compass!” and did a little jig around the room. He loves all things compasses, North and South poles, directions, etc. This was the perfect box for him!

Activity Projects in our BabbaBox:
First up, we completed the penguin pocket, a cute little pouch made for storing things (or the animal information cards that came along with our BabbaBox).

Ice painting was by far the favorite activity — just add water! Since it was a messier project, we headed outdoors for the fun.
One tip to pass on: Our BabbaBox instructions explained to freeze the cubes for 30-45 minutes and then add in the sticks (slightly frozen, the sticks would then stay in place). BUT, this Mama gets going and would have most likely forgotten.
So here’s what I did…

The foil holds the sticks in place! Voila — no unhappy children wondering why Mommy forgot, and now they have to hold the ice cubes with plastic baggies while their fingers get numb. Not that I have experience in that or anything….ahem.

We read the book provided (such a cute story!) and completed the activity for the treasured compass. Through our animal cards provided, we learned together that polar bears are only found in the Arctic, and penguins in Antarctica. New information for us!

Finally, our BabbaBox came complete with a QR code for downloading an age-appropriate APP game (on polar bears of course!). Spending a bit of time checking this out, my 6-year old was thrilled to add to his collection of apps to enjoy.
Final Thoughts on the BabbaBox:
- I appreciated the organization!
- Definitely geared for the right age group of ages 3-6.
- A brilliant gift idea for any little people who’d appreciate a one-time gift or monthly subscription.
- I love that as a gift, this would encourage time spent together with our children. The BabbaBox is more than just a toy or even an educational activity. It’s memory-building!
